Was the infamous M6E slot B2 issue ever solved?

Was the infamous M6E slot B2 issue ever solved? I finally built a second rig around the RMA replacement M6E from a few months ago and its running fine with a 4770K at stock speeds with a single GTX 690. Just not sure if I should ever consider multi-card SLI again on the M6E...

(my primary gaming rig is an OCed 4770K on a Gigabyte G1 Sniper 5 with three GTX 780s in SLI that I built after the B2 slot SLI fiasco with my original M6E board)

I can't answer that with a yes or no. I am still a novice with this. I can say that as the bios versions accrued, the choppy audio and video I had in the Valley benchmark with initial bios versions went away. I would consult the original thread about this though. Some still report problems in other benchmarks and games.

Thanks Hopper. A bit disappointing to see that B2 is still a problem. Looks like I will just keep a single GTX 690 card in the M6E machine.

That might be the wise move. I'd like to know what everyone else thinks as well.
