Virtu and another Program Fail

Hello everyone,

I have recently upgraded my P8-P67 Evo to Maximus IV Extreme - Z mobo.

I am using the following rig;

I7-2600k @4,6Ghz
Corsair CMP16GX3M4X1600C7 Dominator C7 16 (4x 4GB) 16 GB 1600MHz DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) DRAM
2x MSI 6950 (2GB) (Connected to 1st and 3rd PCI_E x16 slots respectively)
1x MSI GTX 460 HAWK (Dedicated to Physx only via 3rd party programs and connected to PCIx4 spot (the little gray PCI slot)
1x OCZ Vertex 4 128GB (Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and connected to Sata 3 port of Asus not Marvel)
1x WD Caviar Black 1TB
Silverstone Strider 1000Watt GoldPlus PSU

The above setup is being used for 1 year so far with my P8-P67 and installed the same setup to the new Maximus IV Extreme - Z as i mentioned at the beginning.

Now, my problems are,

As u can see from the attachments whenever i log in to windows i receive those 2 errors. They do really frustrate me. Any way to make those error messages go away?

Virtu i am using is the latest version and i am not sure which program causes the second error.

Thank you in advance,

Regards.

Quick question did you do a complete fresh OS install? I would think not looking at those two messages.

If you are going to be changing your 24/7 system it is best to go with a brand new OS install. 🙂

Yes, Clean OS install.

With the Maximus motherboard it was a fresh new OS install, ok.

Well it does look like you have changed hardware at some point and that is why the messages are there. This is what I would suggest you do.

First of all remove GPU tweak. This is what you do to remove it. Start the install exe and select completely remove application. Reboot on completion.

Now re-install the virtu software or completely remove it if you do not want to use it - do this via the control panel.

Once you have done so, reboot.

Now install GPU Tweak if you wan tot use that software with your MSi cards.

Well, that is weird cuz since i got the mobo i just changed my OCZ vertex 2 to OCZ vertex 4 and after that replace i did like 5 clean OS installs (and the last OS install ended early in this morning). So i am sure the Win 7 is fresh and clean.

Virtu can not open it's menu but i can uninstall it from the Program Uninstaller of the Windows. Also, at the Program Uninstaller of the control panel there is no GPU Tweak. Maybe it is together with/under another program? Like ROG Connect or ASUS AI Suite II?

Also thank you for your quick replies. Really appreciated

No problem I am going to be gone for a while - tour de France time soon.

But I am amazed that your desktop looks like that after a few hours. No offence meant at all. It normally takes me a few weeks to get my desktop as busy. That is why I wonder about a new install. 😄

OK install GPU tweak it and then remove it. That will take the command line out for sure. Same with the virtu stuff. Get rid of it if you are not going to use it.

Haha I copy the user folders (such as Desktop, Documents, Music etc) on different HDD so it is easier when i clean OS install. No need to save the files everytime.

Do you think Virtu is necessary? If not i don'T mind deleting it.

Have fun at your trip 😃

LOL a full desktop is often a good reason for me to do a new OS install.

What level of gaming do you do? Or what other stuff do you use your PC for? Virtu has some benefit for sure but personaly I do not bother.

Actually,

ATM I practically don't play anything at all. But don'T want to limit my gaming incase i feel like playing at all. (Don't ask me why i have like 8 GB of GPU ram if i don't play :D)

That was a quick "tour de france",lol!!!
