VII Ranger - use the ROG_EXT header as USB 2.0?

Hello.

I have a Maximus VII Ranger board. I currently have an NZXT Hue+ and an NZXT Kraken X62 which takes up the two USB 2.0 headers. I recently bought a new case, which has USB 2.0 ports included on the front, and as such I am in need of an extra USB 2.0 header on the Motherboard. I have done some research, and it seems that the right-part of the ROG_EXT header can be used as an USB 2.0?

First I tried to directly plug the USB 2.0 into the header - and it didn't work.
Then I found this small Q-block for USB 2.0 that came with the motherboard but it didn't work with that one either.

Any suggestions?

That's correct. You can use the right part as a normal USB 2.0 header.

Try plugging your front case USB cable into another USB 2.0 header just to see if the ports are defective.

I'm not home until sunday, so I can't really do any testing but I'll gladly take any suggestions to try once I'm home.
I tried both the Hue+ and the front case USB2.0 ports. Neither worked on the ROG_EXT header, but they do on the other 2.0 headers.

Bump
