Maximus Vii formula (2902)
4790k
2x 8GB Corsair 1866
Strix 970
840 EVO
2x Seagate SSHD
H440 with Kraken
About 2 weeks ago the machine changed its sleep behavior, I do tweak settings in the bios but doesn't seem to correspond to when I touched it ( besides, rest it a few times since)
When the machine goes to sleep ( timed or forced). instead of the normal behavior where the board still shows life and the power button flashes. the power button now goes solid, board goes black and I cant recover without kicking the power supply. the machine runs perfectly otherwise and no odd Q_codes or anything like that
here's what I have tried:
remove everything but basics ( including strix)
reset bios
revert bios to previous versions ( back to 2601) which includes multiple times of reloading optimized settings
swapped ram
rebuilt OS
mucked with pretty much every power setting I can find
feeling like I'm running out of options. will be trying loading windows 7 and Ubuntu today to see if the behavior changes with a different OS.
any other suggestions or ideally a silver bullet??
