ok so i can get a great overclock atm 240x17 @1.38v ..http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2088478 theres more there but want my mem up first ..

i'm thinking faulty mem ??
so have it at 9 10 9 27 ecc off 1.5v even tried it up to 1.6 ...anything else i should try befor it go's back ??

make sure they are in the second and fourth slots mine would not run in 1,and 3

ok you screen shots are way to small to see lol after clicking 🙂 but this is why i seem to think the mem is faulty ?
it even drops and blue screens at 1590 .. rma approved ..

It's my understanding that the memory controller is on the CPU chip and not on the motherboard.

So, even if your memory can run at 2133, doesn't mean you can get the clock signals to it that fast if your processor isn't running at a super speed.

The option to run at 2133 (or thereabouts) needs to be supported by your CPU too.

Some over-clocking may be required here.

Added:
All is not wasted on fast memory anyway. One day in the future, you might buy a faster processor that has the ability to run your memory at 2133 and you won't have to re-purchase memory for that extra warm and fuzzy feeling we like so much.

Make sure you always have the latest catalyst drivers.

Had that Aswell was using 10.11 preview 3 updated to the newest whql driver and the issue has gone

Use ATI unistall prog. When applicable for older cards. I've run ATI for years I LOVE IT for performance ! but it is quirky at times. You may have to reinstall a couple times with all background junk turned off ! Pees me off that it requiers a major microsoft 3 rd party add on (cant think of the name at the moment) to even be able to intall. This is the biggest down side to ATI cards.. I have found you can uninstall all this worthless junk and the cards will stil work fine afterwards.
