USB Headers Maximus V Forumla

I am currently running Windows 8.1 and having no problems apart from Corsair Link. There is a glitch with the Link program itself where it will not detect the fans, pump, or led.

The glitch is with the on board USB headers I think. If I remove the control cable from the USB port on the bottom of the board and plug it in the other port, it works.

Normally I don't need to check anything as the H100i does all the work anyway, but if I wish to make a change, I have to take the cover off the case which is a pain.

Does anyone know of a fix, I have tried the corsair forums.

Do you have AIsuite installed? If yes then remove one or the other and your issue should be resolved.

No mate, I don't use the Suite at all. Maybe it has something to do with the USB 2.0, apparently Corsair Link uses that. There are two USB headers on the bottom of the V Formula, where would I find them in Device Manager? Maybe if I update the driver or reinstall the driver?

So much for the easy fix.

USB 2 support is native to the Intel CPU it is only some of the third party USB3 ports that need drivers, do other devices work correctly with the USB header you are wishing to use?

I found the answer on the Corsair Forum. You have to perform some changes in Registry to the USB ports. It is temporary until Corsair provide a fix.
