updating bios

Is it a good idea to keep my bios up to date by updating from the internet. I have read previously that some say don't mess with it or if its not broken don't fix it. Thanks

Well, if it's not broke don't fix it is a good maxim with the BIOS. That said the new BIOS might have something you want....

If you do update, via the OS (internet) is not a great way to go.... BIOS flashback Great.... or EZ flash in the BIOS good too...

Your board has 2 BIOS chips...so, if you are good as you are, you can copy BIOS 1 to the second chip and have that as a backup (test it works after the copy) so you can go for it on the other chip....you always have a fail safe if you manage things well;)

Thanks Arnne, really appreciate the help on this one. There is really nothing I want so I will leave it alone but now I know the system and the way it works I wont be so afraid of updating if I feel the need to. Kudos to you my friend and thanks again.:)

In fact, very little to update the BIOS failure probability
So,don't worry
