I have a maximus vii impact motherboard with an intel i7-5775C cpu, I set the bios to use the integrated graphic card as default and put in a second graphic card, an Nvidia GT 1030. Also in the BIOS at the System Agent configuration section... I set the iGPU Multi-Monitor option to enabled, but the computer freeze and halts.
In order to change the bios settings, I have to have the GT 1030 not installed, otherwise after few seconds, while in the bios, the computer freeze and halts.
If I set the GT 1030 as default, everything is fine.
If I set the iGPU as default and the GT 1030 as secondary card, after the boot menu, the computer freeze and halts and before that gives the message:
"Error sending end of post message to ME: HECI disabled, proceeding with boot"
Resetting the bios did not solve the issue.
Has anyone ever had a similar issue?
