Two really annoying problems with my asus maximus v formula

Hi All,

I have two really annoying problems with my Asus motherboard.

Before I start.. I am on the latest bios, updated all my firmware for SSD etc.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
240GB Corsair Force Series 3, 2.5"
G-Skill 8GBXL Ripjaws X for DDR3 PC12800 1600MHz 8GB Kit

First problem (the main one):

When using the PC all day, it suddenly goes really slow. Google chrome tabs will take ages to load, and all programs will hang, making the PC un-useable. I try and load steam or firefox the pc just hangs. I have tried to log off/on again still there. The only way to fix the problem is to restart the computer. Then suddenly everything is fine again. ARG.

Second problem:

Every morning when I turn my PC on, it says "New cpu installed, system halted". I have to reboot the PC again and then it boots. I have tried changing BIOS battery and as I said above I am on the latest BIOS.

Whats going on? Really annoying, is it a faulty motherboard?

Thanks

1. Is your SSD connected to the Intel SATA3 ports?

2. Is AHCI enabled in the BIOS?

3. Try Disabling your page file and see if it still persists.

because Asus update program kept popping up saying "update, update". Always like being on the latest anyway.

It is In intel, and ahci. I will try disabling page file and give that a go, thanks.

Okay well being on the latest doesn't always mean it's the greatest and don't disable the page file that won't fix anything...Set it to about 1 1/2 times the amount of your RAM you have. Im still on v-0701 with the same board and it runs solid as a rock..even cranked up over 5 GHz. May I ask how you burned your system in and after that did you run any programs to check for stability? If so what were they?

It could be a PSU issue, strange things like this happen when it's going bad.
Personally, I would never use a Zalman PSU, how old is it?
The next things that I would look at is CPU throttling or possibly a virus affecting running processes.

firt , I thought the same thing, i swaped the power supply

but now, after a week, never happen again ?????????
if its happen another time i will return to bios 1309

the main reason why i update bios to 1604 is for overclocking
i need 1.3v for 4.6ghz on a i7-3770k
i want try with new bios if i can use less volt on same overclock
