When I go into UEFI Q-Fan control, firstly I use Optimize All so MB could automatically tune fans and find appropriate values for them, then choose Silent Profile mode, save and exit UEFI, restart computer, my CPU and Case fans are not working in silent mode, Silent Profile selected and saved in UEFI is completely ignored.
Also, when in Windows 10 I am forced to install AI Suite 3 otherwise my fans don't run in silent mode profile selected in UEFI. In GNU/Linux I don't have such simple GUI utility for fan control and in general BIOS/UEFI should be first option for controllling hardware as it is expected from interface between an operating system and platform firmware, and utilities in OS as a secondary option, this way of controlling hardware by BIOS/UEFI as primary option is platform independent.
In short, UEFI fan Silent Profile mode selected in UEFI is ignored not just by Windows but UEFI which is strange.
And there is other problem, despite having AI Suite 3 with selected Silent Profile, my CPU fan in idle mode oscillate high and low producing noticeable strange pulsating noise from time to time.
All fans are PWM.
I updated MB with latest 4023 UEFI but problem still persist as it was with previous UEFIs.
As a sidenote AI Suite 3 also have some bugs, e.g. EZ Update Check update from internet is not working, including missing text in the end of sentence, "There is no need to update environ" it shoud read environment.
