Trying to roll back to 4004 bios thanks to the dead PCH fan with RIVE bios 4102

I'm trying to get back on 4004 thanks to the fine work of the bios engineering department.

now I keep getting an error in dos when trying to load up 4004.



please advise

Just put the bios on a memory stick, or in fact, the ASUS software in the bios should be able to read it right off your harddrive. Use the Bios flash tool in the 4102 bios screen, you DO NOT need to use the asus dos flash tool.

I tried this method and it worked, surprisingly easy.

You will have to use BIOS Flashback method I think. EZ flash and that tool might not let you flash an older BIOS.

You can go back versions with EZ Flash, at least with the .CAP files, I don't know about going back to the old .bin type bios.
