After reading through that thread, that's a good idea. It seems they think it is more software related than hardware related. AI suite and Driver sense II.
Do you have performance problems or BSOD's or anything like that?

Hi , im getting the same error
: The embedded controller (EC) did not respond within the specified timeout period. This may indicate that there is an error in the EC hardware or firmware or that the BIOS is accessing the EC incorrectly. You should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS. In some situations, this error may cause the computer to function incorrectly.

This message appears in the event log when Aida64, HwInfo or similar software is used to access or monitor the EC controller. I was able to test it.
The monitoring is activated as soon as an Asus mainboard is detected during the installation of the two software.
The two software queries data from the EC controller or try to monitor it. The controller is probably outputting data too late and Windows thinks it wasn't requested, even though it's clearly doing so through Aid64 or HwInfo.
This is not a hardware problem, but is only caused by the two software mentioned.
Simply switch off the EC monitoring in both software and there will no longer be any error messages.
There are no disadvantages to deactivating monitoring.
