SupremeFX III on Crosshair V Formula -Z Software Options...

I recently purchased the Crosshair V Formula Z back in November 12' and I don't like the Audio Control Panel with DTS UltraPC II that it comes with and installs for Audio Controls. I previously owned the Crosshair III formula and had the SupremeFX X-FI card with that and I liked the X-FI MB Sound Control software much better and the sound quality. I can't for the life of me get that sound card to get recognized or installed with this new motherboard, so I researched to see what Audio Software can be installed that is compatible with the SupremeFX III, and I found that the "THX TrueStudio Pro" is supposedly compatible with SupremeFX III and I installed it, and now It is saying it can't recognize a compatible device.

I'm tired of this, I've spent the last 3 days trying to figure my audio problem out, and I don't want to use this god aweful ROG Audio Software this motherboard came with. I also use Studio quality headphones "Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's" so I want to get the best quality I can with these, and from what I was able to listen to with the old X-FI card, I wish I was able to use that card again, but can't.

Any help is really appreciated! Thank you,
Terrence.

If still can't normal to use,We recommend that you exchange the original Audio card
Because, gaming series audio card must be specify the corresponding models use

Unfortunately, I too have come across a similar problem.1st off you can not use the previous SupremeFX-Fi card with the new Crosshair VFZ. In part the issue here that the although the onboard audio codec (Realtek ALC898) is very capable of supporting TrueStudio, Dolby Digital Live etc.. Asus was too cheap to pay the license cost for them and we get screwed. Asus makes several other motherboards with the EXACT same ALC898 codec and they enjoy TrueStudio, DDL, EAX 5.0 etc however, users of the latest/greatest AMD Crosshair VF-Z are unable to use such functions, though you would expect given the premium on the ROG series, and that other ROG motherboards do have such features enabled, we too would be able to expect as much.

PLEASE pay attention to the OP's post. They are using a Crosshair V Formula Z. You linked a bios file for the Crosshair V Formula.

I wish I had known this before buying the Formula Z. Cause quite frankly, I am less than impressed with the Realteks sound quality, lack of tweakability as far as the sound is concerned, and the way too low voice com output/quality.
