Hey everyone, Merry Christmas/Happy Honika!
I'm posting about the issue I'm having with my soundcard, the SupremeFX Impact II that came with my Maximus VII Impact. Yesterday out of nowhere I started getting massive amounts of static when I plugged my headphones in the line-out jack. This was not a problem that I had before, so naturally I firstly tried to resolve this with a reboot but it was to no avail, even if the problem was half solved. I thought the problem was with the headphones so I tried using the headphone jack that I have on my monitor - no static problems there. Then I used the headphone jack located on my PC - slight pops were observed. Then I tried the line-out jack on my soundcard and I had the huge random bursts of static.

To be more specific, I observed that the bursts of static were occuring when I was playing a game/anything that was a bit graphically demanding. Normal browsing yielded no static whatsover. So then I decided to test two of my games by using the headphone jack in the monitor (that yielded no static), using my PC's front headphone jack (that yielded no static) and the line-out jack on the soundcard (that yielded bursts of static). I also tried a different, cheaper set of headphones as I assumed the ones I have right now might've gone bust, but I still got the same results.

From the software side I didn't change anything before or after I got the static which is why I'm worrying that my supremefx card might've gone bust.

I'd appreciate all the help I can get now. Thanks in advance, and have a happy new year :).
