Super fast Gaming Computer to Slow 98' Computer

I recently bought everything to build a new computer. Had all the parts shipped to my parents house so that I could build my beast of a machine with my dad. Got everything Installed, worked the first time. No problems, bitchen!!!

Couple of weeks down the road, the computer suddenly couldn't see my key board nor mouse, Restart the computer and it became slower then the computers you would do typing class with in the 4th grade. From loading windows in seconds to taking up to 2 minutes just to get from the windows logo to log in screen. Clicks on programs delayed, almost like it's thinking too hard. random freezing of programs. The computer itself is acting.... weird.

Reloaded windows (3 times), still no fix, reloaded windows on a new hard-drive, still nothing, Tried two new sticks of ram, nothing.

I'm running Windows 7 ultimate 64 Bit

The only thing I have not done is troubleshoot the motherboard, processor, and video card.

I flashed the bios from 1503 to 1703 with success. Shut down the machine and now it will not boot windows. Turn on the machine, one beep, and a couple of seconds later, 1 loud beep, either 1-3 small beeps, and repeats itself, but not the same amount of small beeps (random). I can get into the bios, but I cannot use the easy flash to reload the old bios, it just sits on a black screen.

I'm running out of Ideas on how to fix this machine. Any suggestions?

Have you opened the case at all, since you first built the system?

Thanks for the reply!

Yes, I have opened the case to look to make sure everything is ok. I've reseated everything, I've tried the bare minimums to start the computer up, I've inspected all the capacitors to see if they are still flat and not expanded, I've looked for burned spots, clearing the CMOS using the button in the back and pulling the battery out.

have you removed the CPU to check for bent pins?

I've check all hardware for bent pins.

Ok so, I can get into the bios (delete on splash screen) but that's as far as I can get. I try and go into Ez flash but it never loads. It stays at a black screen.

If your using the sata cable that has an "L" shape on it to your main hard drive, switch it out. I did have my seagate hard drive die on my after 3 weeks of using it. I had the slow loading times in windows and everything else. chck disk/seagate harddrive programs could not fix it. Just bsod during the process.

Ok So, i pulled the power and the sata cables from the hardrive, and the beeping is gone. Could it be the beeping was from my hard-drive? Should I use the cable that came with the hard-drive and not use the one that came with the motherboard?

Thank you!!! It might not be the bios at all. I turned it on and within seconds i was in the bios, no problem. Plus, I can get into the Ez Flash. As far as my hard-drive, is it FUBAR as far as speed goes or will the cable change make a difference?

I do not know why I was asking questions I can only ask. I'm going to have to get a new hard-drive to test my theory. I guess this gives me a chance to get a smaller and faster hard-drive. I wonder if I can return the old hard-drive.
I'm fairly sure the problem is fixed, but I can't confirm until I try a new hard-drive. Thanks Sectionate

The lag you are experience can very easily be caused by a faulty cable or hard drive. The whole initialization process of the BIOS is dependant on a proper hand over once all the hard ware is correctly identified prior to gaining access to the EFI bios.

Cable are an easy fix, so is running a disc scan to ensure your HDD is working 100%.

Once you are sorted with the hard drive, go into bios and F5 to reset to default values. That way you can be assured that all settings are as they should be and that bios settings are not the cause for any slow booting.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

HiVizMan I thought the "L" sata cables were just for optical due to the shape and the way data gets sent. Seagate has hard drive tools galore on the website or just find your support disk that came with it. Check for recent firmware updates, the site is easy to navigate. Your hard drive could be fine run chkdsk and

I wasn't trying to tell you that yours has failed, just wanted you to know what happened to mine. Sata cables shouldn't matter, someone did a benchmark with them and showed zero difference. sorry for leaving out alot in my first post, let us know how it goes. If you can't get anything to post plug it into another machine just to see if the O/S can see it, then run chkdsk on seagate tools.

Also not sure if this was asked, but never flash your bios in windows if you did
