Stuck with an issue

Following a guide a found from here I did a OC to 4.9 and seemed to be fine but I pushed it to 5 and all she wrote. It was stuck on an error code 79. Sent the board back to ASUS they sent back the same board looks like all they did was reset it not sure how though... Left it on all night everything seemed good just had to reset the date and time. Came in this afternoon seen a BSOD that had not completed its crash dump so I turned it off and left it for a while. Come back in turn it on.. BSOD on iStor.sys (think thats a raid or intel matrix driver) now im back to square one again.

If I leave it off for a while kill the power supply to it the EFI splash screen will come up but as soon as you enter setup it freezes. If you turn it off and back on I'm stuck at that error code 79.

I was able to get in and solve my issue. had remembered from a previous setup that my drives in raid config were causing a problem.. what though I am not sure. I just unplugged all the power cables from my drives and I was able to get in and just load defaults and back to normal now. How much power do drives take anyways it possible I just can't overclock because I dont have enough PSU?

Not sure about your PSU - and I am running a 450PSU with a single GTX580 (Lightning Extreme version) no problem.

However I only have 5 HDD's and on DVD 🙂

My CPU is clocked to 4GHz no problems (touch wood)
