Ladies & Gentlemen,
I need some insight. I have an Maximus Extreme Z690 and I am running an Intel 14900K. I have noticed my graphics card, an Asus RTX 4080 Strix is always running at 8x. I have reseated the card, I do not have anything populated in the m.2_1 slot. I do have the following populated with the following:
M.2_2 - Samsung 990 Pro 4TB
M.2_3 - Samsung 990 Pro 4TB
DIMM.2 - x2 Samsung 990 Pro 4TB
I have reset the BIOS, reseated the GPU, and I still cannot get out of 8X mode. Any ideas?

Hey there! That's a tricky situation with your RTX 4080. Double-check your BIOS settings, specifically anything related to PCIe lane allocation. It almost sounds like something is unintentionally limiting the lanes. Have you also checked the motherboard manual for any configurations that might affect the PCIe slot bandwidth when those M.2 slots are populated? It might be time to unleash a Solar Smash to relieve your stress and start troubleshooting again. Just kidding (sort of)! Good luck finding a solution!
