Strix b350-f Gaming

I've built myself a ryzen 1800x, Strix b350f gaming, G Skill f4-3200c14 16 gtz.
Updated bios, so ram running at 3200mhz 14.14.14.34 no problem. I cannot get the motherboard to hold multiplyer of anything above 38.5.
Every time I set it to 40 or 41, it just boot to 38.5. Any ideas?

I know what it usually means. Description only mentions CBS. There's no update on the QVL and I haven't seen anything being mentioned on either reddit or oc.net.

To answer my own question:
VTTDDR is now properly set at half of VDRAM. Not sure if this is new since I only tested RAM in the 1st 3 releases, but I've never seen it move from 0.6V on Auto before. Now it's 0.675V When DOCP is enabled. My pair of FlareX's are running at 3200Mhz @1.35V 14/14/14/14/34. Trc is even higher than before. Should be 48, and it's at 70 something on Auto, was around 60 pre-BIOS-update.

Anyways, it managed to finish 2 passes of memtest86 without errors. Gonna test it with some games now. If you couldn't get your sticks to run above 3000 Mhz now's the time to try again.

Edit: tried some gaming, keeps crashing, so 3200 is still a no go, but it's somewhat more stable than it used to be.

Did anyone else have stability issues with bios 0809. Ive reverted back to 0806 just to be stable again.

nope. 0809 has been quite stable. I'm able to run my RAMs at full speed. (but didn't OC the CPU).

Everything at stock and every game crashed after about 5-10mins on 0809. Back on 0806 3200mhz 14-14-14-34ram, 4015mhz clock speed,1800x rock solid.

Is Fan Xpert 4 for STRIX B350-f able to read GPU temperatures as stated in the product description?

In the past, a thermal probe was required for this feature to work. Later the feature also worked with ASUS GPUs (I think I even saw an ASUS motherboard mentioning a QVL, but I couldn't find it). Then earlier this year someone mentioned that ASUS was working on motherboards that would support GPUs regardless of brand.

Unlike other ASUS motherboards, the STRIX B350-f and X370 product description make no mention of thermal probes, ASUS cards or QVLs. Does this sudden omission of requirements reflect the capability of the STRIX B350-f fan controller or is it a lie by omission?

Sorry for the blunt first post.

I'm running the 1001bios with 1800x and g.skill 3200cl14 ram. Just overclockers to 4.125ghz processor. 3333mhz ram 14.14.14.34 at 1.35v. Very happy with stability so far. Haven’t even tried to push it yet. In hw monitor has gone to 4.213ghz all 16cores under load. [emoji16]

3333mhz Ram not stable... Doh. 4.5ghz processor stable.
Cannot get the Ram stable over 3200mhz.
