Startup Issues with P8Z77-V-Pro

So I built my machine in May and have been dealing with this issue for months.
Turn on PC
- You can see all the check lights go on on the MB
- Black screen and red light on the MB for O/S
- CTRL ALT DEL and reset
- Spam delete key to try to get into BIOS
- Get into BIOS and select boot menu and click on my SSD

The boot order has my SSD(which has my OS) as priority but I have to do this pretty much everytime I turn on the computer. Everything is stable once I can startup correctly. Any ideas?

My stats:
- Intel 2500k OC'd 4.3 (Through AI Suite)
_ OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD
- 16GB Corsair Vengenance
- EVGA GTX 570 HD 2.5 GB
- Corsair GS 800 PSU

Welcome to the Asus ROG forums Frankie. But I am out of ideas - except I know there are issues with certain SSDs, I just don't know which ones. Have you updated the SSD firmware?
i7-3930K; Asus RIVE; G.SKILL Ripjaws Z 4x4GB DDR3 1866; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB;
Corsair 1000HX; Corsair H100, 4x Excalibur 120mm PWM CPU Fan p-p, AS5; SB X-Fi Titanium Fata1ity Pro;
Dell U2412m IPS 1920x1200; Cooler Master HAF 932 case; Tripp-Lite OMNIVS1500 UPS fully Line-interactive.
(EVGA site: ) And I have a second (wife's) computer, Eve.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

I have not. Never done that before. Definitly something to check out tho. Whats the risk of losing data doing that?

Yes, it is risky; recommend backing up data first. If you loose power during, your SSD will be bricked. My UPS would prevent that. Also, I have heard it must be plugged in to SATA port 0 (1 on RIVE), and cannot be part of a RAID array.

OP you have a corrupted bios, please do either re-flash your bios using the EZflash2 utility found in the tools section of the bios, or follow the step by step guide and flash your bios to the latest version. Again do use the BIOS tool and NOT via the OS.

Once you have done so. Remove all the other drives from your sata port and ensure that your SSD with your OS is in the Intel 6Gb/sec port.

Post to OS once and then power off and fit the other drives.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
