Did you mean:

SSD in IDE slot, not AHCI

Hello guys,

I just got a question on my new SSD (Corsair Force GT). I tested it with ATTO Benchmark and the results are ca. 450 MB/sec write and 380 MB/sec read speed. Due to my 2 RAID 0 HDDs I can set the 5+6 SATA slots only to IDE. So is it a big difference between setting up the SSD in an AHCI slot and the IDE one?

Best regards,

FA

P.S.: I'm sorry if this question was already answered, but I really do not have any time to search on forums, due to my job.

Hi,

SSD in IDE should be little slower agains SSD that is in AHCI.
But why wouldnt you set up those Sata 5 and 6 ports to RAID too??
...That way that single SSD that ain't chosen for any RAID array is runing in AHCI mode.
