[solved] Drivers installation issues with Maximus VII Gene

Hi there,

I've just bought a maximus VII Gene and I have several issues with drivers installation. My config is :

Intel 4790K
Asus 780 DCII
2*4Go 2400MHz TridentX
Corsair AX760i

My system is Windows 7 64 bits. The Bios is up to date (didnt worked without update with the 4790K).

At this moment I can't install AI suite (nothing appens after executing asussettup.exe, no active process) or any app in the package.
I also have a problem with keybot : just after launching the installer, a windows window (yeah) appears saying the program stopped working with the following infos :

and then another window named "Asus Keybot" says "an error occured while launching the setup." and "failed to call the function" (traduction).

The rest of the drivers are ok (audio, usb, sata, lan...).

Are you using the set up disk that came with your motherboard? Have you tried to download the software from the motherboard support page?

I download every last driver from the site since I don't use an optical drive in my build. For the AI suite package, i tried two versions : 10079 and 10183, same issue.

Okay , i figured out the problem. Even if it seems weired, all those issues were made by de Windows default zip extractor. I realy didn't know thi could happen.

Anyway, problem is solved, thank you for your help.

Ah right I did not even think of telling you about that. I forget that not all folks use a third party archive extractor. I use WinRAR myself.
