Yes k0stas156...lots of people have problems with the ASUS software. None of the programs are worth the electrons they are written with! Best avoid them especially AI suite from all the problems I have seen....

Please uninstall ASUS AISuite II, this is the cause of your slow boot. If you are referring to slow boot time (from turning on, until Windows) then you need to disable the ASMedia SATA Port in the BIOS 🙂

Did this fix his issue? My problem is similar but it's when windows 8 comes up, There's a really long lag for the programs to start to work like opening the explorer takes almost a minute, after that everything is a Highway... I have FX-8350 4.0GHz, 16GB, AMD Performance Mem @ 1600MHz with 256 Vector paired to 500 GB Velociraptor. I was thimnking if it was that mix but now this puts me to think...

Same problem here with windows 7, I did try after fresh install to remove every piece of software

includeing non asus software 1 at a time, still did no good.

Have to say this, after so many years of using Asus products, this is onr problem I am very unhappy with
Asus not even responding with Help on. And figuring out a fix. We are talking about one of there top products here, there mobo,s!!!

Does anyone know if Asus has created a fix for this problem.
I have been using Asus for years, but this is terrible, and for asus to ignore this problem is even worse.
I do not put out this type of money on high end hard ware, to have it bog things down like this.
And NO amount of unistalling AI suite or any other programs have worked.

AND YES, this is a wide spred problem. ASUS is looseing customers because of it.
NO ONE builds high end systems, to have to wait so long for things to load in windows desk top.

Besides, I have 3 other Asus based systems in my house, includeing the crosshair v. NON of them do this at ALL!!!

Asus best get off there BUTTS quick, befor the BEST AMD board there is becomes extinct, because people like me will no longer buy it
AND will not recommend it. I also build gameing systems to sell. I CAN NOT use the Crosshair v-z the way it sits!!!

VERY disappointed and sad to see a company that I have backed for years in all FORUMS, deside not to give a crap!!

fishhawk, have you disabled things you don't need in BIOS?

What a couple of you lads are describing sounds most like a OS issue. What I can do is pull out my AMD rig and install Win7 and see if I can duplicate. But guys please understand once the windows logo comes up in the boot process the BIOS has handed over to the OS and it is not motherboard any longer. Give me a day or two to do multiple installs of OS both Win8 and 7.
