SLI on Hero VI

I have been thinking of adding a second GTX 680 to my system, I have a top of the line Creative labs sound card in PCIex 1_1.

Will the card be ok there or should I move it to PCIex 1_2 which would be my only other option?

I'm using the Hero board with two 780 ti in SLI + Asus STX (PCI-E) Sound card.

The two graphic cards are running with x8, x8. (using two add. fans to cool down the cards)
My sound card is in the PCIe 2.0 x4 slot - mainly cause of temperature issues.
I would not advice to put it in PCIex 1_1 or 1_2 between CPU and primary GTX 680 or between
the two GTX 680 (SLI get's to hot) cause of missing air flow.

Which CPU are you using? (beware CPU bottle-neck)

CPU: Intel 4770K @4.6 GHz
Mainboard: Asus maximus hero VI
Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S (dual fan)
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1866 MHZ
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB HDD: Western Digital WD1000DHTZ Velociraptor 1TB
Case: NZXT 810 (7 Fans, Y-to motherboard)
Video: Inno3d 780 Ti SLI (2x)
PSU: Corsair AX860i platinium

I have the Intel 4770K @4.4 GHz, it is water cooled. My temps are very low due to using the Blackhawk case with 7 fans in it. My concern was overloading the pci-e lanes with data. I guess since you are using 2- GTX 780's and not having the issue I should not worry trying to use 2- GTX 680's.
Thanks for the reply.

You will have 8GB/s (PCI 3.0 x8) for each of the cards. Fast enought.
