Simple Questions Ranger VII

Hello everyone!

Yesterday i bought and installed a new Ranger VII with a I5 4690K.

Just now i finished with the last Windows Updates for Windows 10 and i have two questions to ask.

1. Is it worth it to update the bios?
2. My speakers sound like ****, like when you are underwater, i was hopping that with all the marketing of "best sound" i was going to experience good sound but it sounds awful, is there anything i have to touch on the realtek panel to make it sound more clear?

Thanks in advance!

PD: Im using speakers, not headphones!

Hello Lobialkom

Try this

At the bottom right of your screen right click on the little speaker, select playback devices and a green checkmark should be by your speakers. If it is right click on speakers and select properties, see if there is anything in there you can play with to get a better sound.

I don't use the realtek application but there should be something in there somewhere to adjust the sound too.

If the bios update includes fixes that are pertinent to your situation, then do it.

If not, leave it be....if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Intel i9 10850K@ 5.3GHz
ASUS ROG Strix Z490-E
Corsair H115i Pro XT
G.Skill TridentZ@ 3600MHz CL14 2x16GB
EVGA RTX 3090 Ti FWT3 Ultra

Storage: WD Blue SN550 2TB NVMe M.2
EVGA SuperNova 1200 P2
ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601

Thanks a lot!

I had to play a lot with the realtek software and the sonic studio thing but it finally sounds like it should be, cant say the same for my mic, but its fine anyway.

I went ahead and updated the bios, just in case.

Thanks once more for the replies!

Hello, its me again!

So today i joined a chat in ventrilo chat and everyone kept on telling me how ****ty the mic sound was, which used to be good before, and ive read all over the internet about issues with this supremeFX and realtek stuff.

I just have mi mic plugged on the pink jack, and my speakers on the green one, speakers work like a charm but the mic has this horrible horrible buzz, which is disturbing when im not talking and when i talk, the buzz is still there and its making my voice sound low, i already tried a lot of stuff, uninstalling realtek drivers and using what microsoft wants, using realtek drivers and playing A LOT with the sonic studio, i managed to make it better but the buzz is still there and if i use that option to remove the buzz between my words i sound like "y u u ing" instead of "hey how you doing" it eats the first part of the words too.

Any fix for this? all the posts i read were quite old!

You could try the jacks on the front of your case to see if your mic still buzzes.

I tried that, it was even worse. Anyway, last night, after one hour with a buddy inside vent asking him every 30secs "how about now?" i moved all the sliders of the Sonic Studio and managed to remove the buzz while i speak and the mic not to make a sound when i dont say anything, which is good, but theres definetly something wrong with it, ive read a hundred posts all over the internet about this issue, in different versions of asus motherboards.

If it's still buzzing with the front jacks you may have a faulty mic or mic cable.

I bought a new mic, as the other one was quite old. Still the same issue, by playing with sonic studio y managed to make the buzz go away, when im not speaking there is no noise at all, and when i do, the buzz is as low as it can be, but the downside is it changes my voice a lot, like i was darth vader speaking, and its the noise reduction bar which makes it, the lower i set that bar, the more normal my voice sounds, but the buzz comes back.
