Seems I Have A Poor Chip

I followed Chino's overclocking guide and successfully booted at 4.7 with 1.35 Vcore. Highest temps during stress testing were 90. My problem is if I drop the voltage at all from 1.35 then I BSOD after seconds of Prime95. I realize I just may have a poor chip but still thought I would ask you more experienced peeps if ya thought there was anything else I could try at 4.7 with lower voltage. Is reaching 90 C in Prime95 an indicator of a risky 24/7 overclock?

I want to de-lid but am a little scared. Do you think lapping the processor would help much?

Yes, if done correctly, but you will be out of warranty.
I suggest reversing your push/pull config so it intakes cool air from outside the case.
I know this sounds crazy, but this is the way these closed loop water cooling systems were designed.
I have tested it both ways on many setups and it almost always works best as an intake config.

And exhausting the warm air inside the case? I will definitely try it, just want to make sure I am understanding correctly.

Well, when you get warm air out of the radiators, then there is some problem... that air should not be more than 1-2C higher than the intake side... - if you have proper exhaust, then having the top rad/fan setup as intake proved the best for me too...

There is sound logic for reversing the fans so that they dump the heat into the case. Cool air is cooling the radiator now. Their are normally other fans in the case that will vent the warmer air out. And the amount of heat that is introduced into the case is not extreme.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Thought I would update. I am back on 4.7 overclock with 1.35 Vcore and while gaming, my average temps were in the high 60's. Max temps did hit mid 70's but mostly they stayed in the 60's. I am satisfied with that. Any thoughts?

Great job, same 4.7GHz overclock for me (with 1.35v)...enjoy!
