after flashing to new BIOS, you should also power it down after it boots up the first time and asks for F1 to correct CMOS checksum, press Clear CMOS (button at rear I/O) for 20 seconds, then boot up and Load Optimized Defaults (F5), Save & Reset (F10) and go from there. it should be OK.
also a note on all newer MVE BIOSes above 704 when running Legacy Boot (non-UEFI boot), you may sometimes experience CPU multiplier sometimes not kicking in at some clocks, especially above 47x, just Clear CMOS again, Load Defaults and it should be good ... for a while
😉Interestingly, in UEFI Boot mode I seem not to have this problem anymore ... so maybe new BIOSes are tested purely in UEFI mode with Windows 8 (most latest stability improvements are in that matter I believe), while sacrificing some stability in non-UEFI mode ...
wondering if you had your issue at all in UEFI boot mode (requires OS re-instalaltion on GPT) with Secure boot ...
