Samsung 830 / 840 SSD Updates

Thought i would put this in here for you guys !
Seems about the right place for the enthusiasts among you.

It looks like its a no destruction update , which is good !
Tip - download dos version, burn to cd, reboot into bios,put in AHCI Mode if you have raid setup, Reboot into dos from cd , update, reboot into dos again, update second drive, reboot into bios, put raid back again. Done.

I have seen thats its worked fine, i will be trying in the morning.Raid array all good !

So far I've been unsuccessful on doing this. When I stick the controller in AHCI mode and boot from the cd, it gives me errors on illegal partition table, error reading partition table and doesn't go any further.

Even tried sticking the drive in another machine; no go....

ok figured it out; apparently there is some bug with nvidia video cards that show the gui as blank..... what a pain.
