Sabertooth Z77 SSD as Cache or as Boot drive

I am looking to improve on performance a bit by adding an SSD. I know the performance will be better if everything was on it, but would installing it as a cache an using the WD Black 1 TB drive as normal get better performance over a wider array of programs? I'm looking to get either a 120GB SSD for cache or 180/240GB SSD to use as boot.

Any advice? Also, suggestions about learning to create an SSD as a cache.

SSD should be the boot drive. OS and games on the SSD. Everything else on the HDD. I have two corsair neutron GTX SSD's in Raid 0. Would never go back to a HDD. I had some old OCZ SSD's fail. Installed everything on a 150gb 10k Raptor. Huge speed difference. There is no comparing an HDD to any SSD.

Go for the SSD as your OS drive. The cache fades in comparison to the gains in load time that the OS drive as SSD gives.

Well I did that with my G75, Intel 520 boot and data, etc. on the converted stock drive. But I just wasn't sure whether that would be best for a desktop that does many more things than the laptop. Thanks!
