Sabertooth X99 DRAM light issue

Hey guys, new here.

Just bought a new cpu, motherboard, ram and cooler for my pc after the previous motherboard died.

Having issues with what I believe is compatibility with the ram. The initial ram that I purchased (which was tested in another pc to check for faults) was sent back and changed to ram that was compatible.

Both times 3000mhz ram has been used. The second purchase of ram was from the online list of compatible ram and not from the manual but having checked with one of the Asus team they said it should be compatible.

I've still had no luck and I'm at an end. I have no idea what to do. The error code I am getting is 0053 suggesting ram compatibility. It will not boot to Bios at all.

Nothing wrong with the psu or gpu.

Components in the Pc are as follows:
GPU: R9 390X OC
PSU: RMI1000i
CPU: i7 6800k Broadwell Extreme (Socket 2011 V3(At the minute this is not compatible with bios version 1901 but I was planning on flashing that anyway))
Motherboard: Sabertooth X99
Cooler: H80i V2
Ram: CMK16GX4M4B3000C15 (the code is easier because this is so specific)
Here is the QVL list I took it from: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2011/SABERTOOTH-X99/SABERTOOTH_X99_DRAM_QVL_20150108.pdf

If anyone can help at all I'd really appreciate it. I've checked the cables, I've checked the ram slots. Unsure really how to proceed.

EDIT: Attempted a Bios update today. Inserted Usb, flashed it and waited until the led stops blinking entirely and its finished. Power on pc only for TUF to tell me the Bios version is still the same... What the..

Tried several more times with no luck.

Code now displays 0053 CPU initial.
UPDATE: Finally got Bios to do something on a fat 16 drive. Sadly I've now got error code 0019. (I don't think flashing the bios worked haha)
0004. I should stop messing.
