Sabertooth X79 CPU ratio disappeared?

Hello people,

I can't seem to find the option called CPU ratio in my BIOS after upgrading to the latest version (4302). I've tried downgrading to the first 4*** bios and the option to keep the CPU ratio on auto or changing it manually was there. I then re-flashed the 4302 BIOS and once again the option is gone. Am I overlooking something here? I want to set the ratio to 43 for a 4.3 GHz overclock. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Please use a fat formatted USB stick and go into your main bios page.

After you have selected manual or XMP profile as your mode of overclock take a screenshot of that bios page, scroll down a little so that we can see the actual bios options not just the information that is at the top of the screen.

F12 will take a screen and save it to your usb stick.

In that last pic, shouldn't there be an option called CPU ratio? That's where it used to be previously.

That's weird. As far as I know, the CPU Core Ratio has always been in the AI Tweaker tab. As you can see in your first screenshot, it is there. 😛

I've tried setting all cores manually to 44 which is actually 43 but the cpu frequency remains 3.6 GHz. Any ideas? Does that mean all is looking good?

All you have to do is set the value 44 (assuming you have an unlocked CPU with a K at the end of it) or 43 if not in the fist line below the sync in all cores and it is done.

Do you have AISuite installed and did you try to mess around with it first?

It's very strange, I am not sure why it wasn't working before, but now I've tried to set the core to 43 and it worked! CPU-Z is showing a clock speed of 4.3 GHz! Weird, but at least it works now!. Thanks for the help.

Perhaps you forgot to hit Enter after you changed the value to 43. 😛

Honest answer, I do not care why it works now and not before, all I am interested in is that it works and you have a system doing what you want it to do.

Enjoy matey and visit us again soon even if it is just to say hi.
