Sabertooth LLC all over the place ?

So got myself a Sabertooth 990fx r2.0 to replace a badly ageing Crosshair V Formula (non Z), setup my fav OC and notice the LLC going haywire. 1.428v at Ultra High goes all the way to 1.452v causing many heatz (i don't like heatz). High undervolts by roughly the same amount while Extreme gives me a whooping 1.488v.

Is this normal for a Saber ? my crosshair at Ultra high made roughly par with the voltage which was perfect, and now i cant stabilize my OC.

Thoughts ?

Hello Kenrou

If your overclock isn't stable give it a little more vcore or drop to 4.6GHz. Try to keep LLC at medium as anything higher will overshoot the voltage you set.

Its not about the OC being stable or not, its the amount of LLC voltage at each setting. On my old Crosshair Ultra High generated +.01 above what i put in manual voltage, with the Saber the same setting gives +.025 and the setting just below -.025, with nothing in between. Maybe its just me that got lucky with the boards and never had to struggle much with vdroop, but this seems strange.

My question was : is this the norm with all the Sabers ? if not i am still in time to trade it for another Crosshair.
