Sabertooth fan header issue

Hi everyone . So I decided i wanted to oc and opted for water cooling. Installation of the loop went great. I went into my bios to start making changes to c and quiet etc when I noticed fan speed on my number 3 header 4k rpm. I have no fans rated for that speed. I took the fan and connected to a different header and it shows the right speed. I took an original case fan and put it on the suspect header and same result, twice the speed of the fan registers. I decided to update the bios from 901 to 1102 and no changes . Flash was successful. Here are a couple screen shots of my info. I have no idea how long this has been this way since I have been uses the stock haf 932 case fans and they run slow so i may have never noticed. I used to have a 200mm coolermaster fan on that header and I believe it was reading 1400rpm when it should only have been 700rpm. Any help is appreciated ty.

Please go have a look in your BIOS and see what plan has been selected for the errant fan header. Or try and manually set the profile of that fan header in the BIOS.

Trust your eyes - is the fan spinning in an erratic way if you physically look at the fan.

I do not hold much stock in the fan software to be honest. Do you use any software to manage your fans other than the ASUS stuff?

Yeah I know the fan is not running at that rmp. I was just saying since i manually tryied to adjust the fan speed it make the bios register wacky speeds. It looks like it is spinning the same speed as the other 2 fans next to it. And to answer your question no i use software to control the fans just the AI Suite thermal radar fan settings. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the software and the problem persists. I called Asus customer support and i guess i have a first gen board so they want to just swap it out for me. Really awesome customer support btw. I'm very pleased they are going to ship me a board first then i just return the problem board back to them. That is really great customer support. I didnt like cable routing i finished with after installing this cooling loop anyway so works out great i get a new board and a chance to clean up my case.
