ROG STRIX B660-F GAMING WIFI doesn't recognize Ethernet controller

I was paining a lot installing Windows 10 and 11 on a new build based on ROG STRIX B660-F GAMING WIFI mobo since no network connection was detected by Windows installer.
I worked around in this way. With a USB drive I've installed WiFi driver downloaded from the ASUS support page, and it worked. For the LAN no way to install with the driver installer downloaded from ASUS. Launching it results in nothing. So I had to manually install selecting the driver from a list (I've installed the I225-V because I found it in some specs on the web), against all the Windows warning that the driver was not suitable for the hardware etc.
Of course BIOS was updated and it was a clean install from zero.
Now it seems to work, but it's quite weird because I don't how is possible such thing.
Anyone else with the same problem? Is it a BIOS flaw?
