ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING issues

Hello,

Anyone experienced the following with the mentioned board:

After 6/10 system starts my system don't see the LAN adapter or my mouse at all. I need to restart the system or replug my mouse to solve the issue. I've experienced the mouse connection issue within UEFI too. Furthermore I experiencing further annoying problems, such as random video signal loose (especially when I start a fan calibration within AISuite 3). After that, I can only revive my system with a hardreset.

I tried to reinstall windows/nvidia driver/chipset driver, etc. And of course, I have the latest BIOS version.

Now, I sent back the board to the vendor, because ASUS Support advised that. They will revise it. I hope soo, that they won't evalute that it's just a SW related issue...

Any news on the AGESA 1.0.0.4 update for this board?

Not a word. I really hope they do make it available.

Wrt temps, I replaced my old Hyper TX3 Evo cooler with a Deepcool Gammaxx GT. It's a far superior cooler in theory but results so far have been very similar. Peak temps are still in the high 70's. This chip is really aggressive with voltage, it seems.

FYI, I decided to log a support call with Asus to ask about a possible new BIOS with AGESA 1.0.0.4. Will see what they come back with.

EDIT: Well here you go. No news, officially.

"I have checked our database and there is no update for AGESA 1.0.0.4 at this time, for this model. Also, we don't have any information if there will be such an update for this motherboard at this time. Usually this updates are released on the support page as soon as they are tested and are considered functional, so please stay tuned to the support page"

That is unfortunate because MSI and Asrock have updated some of their B350 chipsets to 1.0.0.4.

It's unfortunate that there is no news, sure. But it could still happen. The support staff apparently just don't have any information at this point.

I think a new Bios is on the works, the bios v5407 was released for the PRIME B350M-E and PRIME B350-PLUS on January 9th and 15th respectively. There is hope.

I had a look at those updates. They are a new version, but still not AGESA 1.0.0.4, sadly. I cannot find a single B350 Asus board that has received the new update yet.

Asus abandoned the B350 boards in terms of Agesa updates it seems. Rather sad from a company that used to be a leader when it came to BIOS support.

well accept a few odd things i cant really complain. everything works smooth on my end. these 1004 are mainly focused on the 570+3000er combo in improvments i think. users reporting problems with latest ag code on b350.

these boards are not high end anyway and for what they are, i think, we had good support in terms of driver and bios updates.well at the start it was a bit difficult ^^.

also i think it would make no sense to release a bios update shortly before b550 hits the market. what exactly do you need a bios/1004 update for ? just curious ..

Yes, everything works fine for 1st and 2nd Gen CPUs. To get full support though for the 3000series boost clock with the higher XMP mem profiles, the latest Agesa should be part of the BIOS. Both MSI and Gigabyte released it on their B350 and 450 boards so there is no technical reason not to do it for those that want the full support of the 3000 series potential.

they are all betas, still, only asrock i think ist none beta?
so what i read is, that there is a problem. with the onboard memory of the boards for the bios. 256mb+ would be better to house all the code for all the different features and uefi gui. for example. on my b350 msi mate i tryed that beta bios out, and it got rid of some features like supprort for 2200G i think it was and the bios itself is back to old school lookalike style ^^ so i think they need to make a dessicion, implament it and loose other features and support for things.. or leave it an wait fpr the release of the b550 boards, so noone cares about these b350ties anymore. if someone wants proper support for his 3000er ryzen, then we got the b550. if someone wants to stick with his b350/450 then they are also ok to do so, without loosing anything. would make sense to me.
well there is much more to it, but thats rouhgly what i read as it is the biggest concern (problem). not enough memory on board ^^
