ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING issues

Hello,

Anyone experienced the following with the mentioned board:

After 6/10 system starts my system don't see the LAN adapter or my mouse at all. I need to restart the system or replug my mouse to solve the issue. I've experienced the mouse connection issue within UEFI too. Furthermore I experiencing further annoying problems, such as random video signal loose (especially when I start a fan calibration within AISuite 3). After that, I can only revive my system with a hardreset.

I tried to reinstall windows/nvidia driver/chipset driver, etc. And of course, I have the latest BIOS version.

Now, I sent back the board to the vendor, because ASUS Support advised that. They will revise it. I hope soo, that they won't evalute that it's just a SW related issue...

Ok thank you im asking because i have a b350f with 1700 proc and my previous ram 16gb flarex 3200mhz was bsod-ing crashing freezing etc so i ran it on 2933mhz above that speed pc was unstable i was using the d.o.c.p. So that ram died on a power surge i got a new one VENGEANCE® RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3466MHz C16 i still have the same problems ......i play a lot of battlefield games and they are very sensitive to overclock again above 2933mhz speed im getting lag stutter or crash to desktop with no error i tried alot of settings watched videos forums info etc.....just no luck.....

P.S Can anyone share some settings to get the ram stable at 3200mhz ?

i have the same issue, but it came when i upgradet cpu to a ryzen 3600 from 1200, now memory runs at 2400mhz evry thing else is not stable/boot issues
when i had ryzen 3 1200 ram run fine at 3200/cl14

specs
Ryzen 3600
Asus b350 f gaming w 5008 bios
G.Skill Flare X 3200mhz cl14

Guyz don't forget Ryzen dram calculator that thing works pretty well i used calculate safe settings no problems so far.

Hello again all,

Some further info for Ryzen 3000 users...(just my experience)

A day or so ago the full release of the latest chipset driver from AMD was released, this driver addresses the destiny 2 hanging bug by implementing a 'workaround' until the next bios update clears testing with the various board vendors.

the driver Rev:1.07.29.0115 otherwise referred to as 19.10.22 for b350 can be found here;
https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b350

I can confirm that destiny 2 works fine with this chipset driver. At least with my board however the new version of the ryzen balanced power plan included with the driver caused voltages stuck at 1.38 to 1.45 constantly with slightly elevated temps, clock speed stuck at over 3.9ghz even at idle and elevated fan RPM.

I have no idea why but AMD set the minimum processor state to 99% for the BALANCED power plan! Even the previous versions of the power plan didn't do that, at least for my board. Changing the minimum state to 0% brought everything back in line with idle temps of 37.5-39c and indle voltage of around 0.925v.

I ran timespy benchmarks with both the previous chipset driver and the new chipset driver with the ryzen balanced minimum processor state set to 0% and lost no performance at all. I also then played through various games while monitoring with gpu tweak 2 to confirm the cpu was indeed still boosting to 4.2ghz and maintaining temps as before. All is well.

Hopefully this will help anyone who runs into similar issues with the latest chipset driver.

Happy gaming all.

when will they release update... i need AGESA 1.0.0.3 AB, my memory wont run CL14@3200 ive tried ddram calc still wont post >_> cl16@2400 uuuuh
i tried to set cpu boost to 200mhz, but i get random reboot like once a day must be some power thingie

No idea unfortunately, according to AMD the new AGESA code is in testing at the moment with board vendors so we should expect to see it released 'within a few weeks'.

As for your RAM issue all I can say is my Corsair LPX 3200 C16 is running fine simply using the XMP profile, all other settings in the bios are at their default values accept for USB power settings and a fan tweak or two. Bios 4801 had weird ram issues for me but 5008 has been fine.

That was quick! Excellent news. I can see a 3600 in my near future.

Just AB, not ABB? So without Destiny 2 fix?

Latest AMD chipset driver incorporates a workaround for the destiny 2 problem, which I can confirm now works fine on my system.

If you do install the latest chipset driver though note that the latest version of the Ryzen balanced power plan sets the minimum CPU power state at 99% resulting in elevated clocks and temps while sitting at the desktop etc. Just change that parameter in the power plan to 0% (same as it was on the previous version) and temps and clock speeds at idle return to normal.
