ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING issues

Hello,

Anyone experienced the following with the mentioned board:

After 6/10 system starts my system don't see the LAN adapter or my mouse at all. I need to restart the system or replug my mouse to solve the issue. I've experienced the mouse connection issue within UEFI too. Furthermore I experiencing further annoying problems, such as random video signal loose (especially when I start a fan calibration within AISuite 3). After that, I can only revive my system with a hardreset.

I tried to reinstall windows/nvidia driver/chipset driver, etc. And of course, I have the latest BIOS version.

Now, I sent back the board to the vendor, because ASUS Support advised that. They will revise it. I hope soo, that they won't evalute that it's just a SW related issue...

In the latest bios update I could no longer get wake-on-lan to work anymore. Did anyone manage to get it working?

...for lolz I tried to see if it`ll work and it did, though it was quite a pain because of all the power management settings enabled by default...
I used this as guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG6sCC4afRI and after that I googled a bit because it would work once but after shutdown I couldn`t start it up again unless I drained the mobo (flip the psu switch to off then hold the power button) so in order to work...open device manager, right click on the intel nic, properties, hit advanced and disable energy efficient ethernet, enable PME and wake on magic packet if its disabled...and it should work...best of luck

Thanks a lot Fredy. I had most config correct and was having the same thing, works once and doesn't work after.

Followed your settings on disabling energy efficient ethernet and enabling PME. Now it works everytime. Appreciate this!

cheers mate, happy to help

Just thought I'd let ya'll know I have moved on from this mobo, it was actually very good and never gave me any problems but Micro Center had an Open Box ASRock X470 Taichi for $145 and I figured it was a good deal. I have it set to manual voltage right now and I'm trying to work my way back up to 3800. It's alot easier OC'ing with manual voltage honestly. I'll keep in touch thanks and let's hope Ryzen 3000 is great!

One thing I miss is the ASUS Sonic Suite 😐

According to Memory-oc-showdown-frequency-vs-memory-timings posted by AMD disabling BankGroupSwap and Geardown Mode should increase the overall performance.

Do someone know if we have an option to disable BankGroupSwap in Bios?

I tried to find it and no luck.

As for Geardown Mode I disable it and PC don't boot at all. As far as I remember when I receive the mobo I was able to disable it.
I'm not sure but it can be 4207 Bios issue.

P.S. According to the post lower timing is better then the frequency. I was able to run my RAM on 2666 Mhz with almost same output as unstable 3200 Mhz

Disable Bank Group Swap I think is just available on the modded Bios

It will work but to be honest you would be better saving a little longer and getting a 450 board, the reason i say this is while yes the 350 will work it will not work with some of the new features of the 2600x

The 2600x is supported since 3803.
