ROG Maximus VII Formula New CPU installed Problem

Hello guys.

I have bought this new system and assembled everything myself with a help of a friend who is used to build PCs.

I looked up for a solution to my problem in this forum, the last guy said he switched his motherboard, I'm trying NOT to go that route because mine is bought online and I can't return it.

So I'm running on the old bios, the 0.52 ones I think. I already reseat the CPU 3 times but the problem persists.
We checked the CMOS battery, all the dates and times are intact after disconnecting power from the system.
I checked all the CPU pins even took a photo with my iPhone and there are not bent pins at all.

I'm hesitant to update the bios because I actually don't know how to do it, would someone guide me on how to update the bios? It might get rid of the problem which is a last resort before I go crazy and decide to buy another board to replace my Formula VII.

My system specs are:
Intel Core i7 4790k Running @4.408 (As it shows on the ROG front base)
32GB DDR3 RAM Corsair Veangeance Pro Red kit
H100i CPU AIO cooler From Corsair
Dual GTX 980s in SLI (Asus Strix and MSI 4G Gaming)
Corsair 1000RM PSU
SSD 480GB Kingston HyperX 3K Running Windows 8.1 64-bit
1TB WD Black 7200RPM HDD (Storage)

Just for your information both the drives (SSD+HDD) were used on an older system running windows 7. During my new build I installed both drives, formatted both of them by using the windows 8 installation disk, would this be a problem as to why it causes me to have the new cpu installed error? If so why because I formatted both of the drives before I installed windows 8.1 into the SSD.

Any help is much appreciated.

Get a usb stick. format it to fat32 file. download the newest bios from the asus website for your board and operating system. Extract the file to the formatted usb drive and rename it M7F.CAP. restart and hit f2 to go into bios. In there go to tools and in there there will be EZ flash. Click on it and select the usb drive with the new bios on it. click to update

I boot up the PC, it doesn't go to windows directly as it should, instead it first gives me this notification that a new CPU is installed, press F1 to set up BIOS. Once I hit F1 it takes me to the Bios, everything looks normal, if I try to overclock and the system restarts, it gives me back the same notification again plus that the overclocking failed. Once I press F1 for the second time after the reboot it takes me into windows instead of the Bios.

So First boot>>F1>>>BIOS>>RESTART>>Second Boot>>>F1>>Windows.
On second boot it will always say that OC failed if I try to.

Did the CMOS reset button with power on and power off in 2 scenarios, same problem.

You should only clear the CMOS with the power cord disconnected from the PSU.
Try this, remove the battery for at least 20 minutes and clear the CMOS at the same time.
As I said, you must remove power to the board before doing this procedure.

I will try it later on, if it fails, I'm destroying the board and getting another one.
