RIVE Windows 8 and RAID

Hi everyone!
Its been a long time coming and Windows 8 is about to launch soon. But i have been having reading here and there and so far i am not sure if i want to upgrade to Windows 8. I am an early adapter style person and would like to be able to install Windows 8 on my beast but i am afraid that upon installation, it will mess up my RAID set up. Also, i've heard positive and negative remarks about whether games will work properly on Windows 8. So, i would like to ask you guys what your thoughts are on the matter of if the RAID will be affected and if Windows 8 will allow games (Steam, Blizzard, Gersang.co.kr, Hangame.com Netmarble.com) to be installed.

Thank you.

nikolator, there is no Recovery partition in Windows 8 by default. Recovery partitions are made by OEMs only, not by Windows and they're also called OEM partitions in Windows terminology. Default partitioning on GPT is like I said initially, ESP->MSR->Primary Data. If you have an OEM partition it's most likely because you have a laptop or bought PC (instead of self-built).

EDIT: dklhs90: see http://kb.acronis.com/content/14705

No, I'm using RTM en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440, and, please, check http://www.overclock.net/t/1240779/seans-windows-8-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds (there is difference in System size: 100 and 99)

May be you are right (AS ALWAYS!), it is just of RTM? And in "Recovery Drive" window I saw something like that:
"If your PC comes with a recovery partition, you can include it in your recovery bla bla bla"

Hi guys,
Long time no see! I bought 4 Samsung SSDs and upgraded my system. I had a lot of problems with the Acronis software but i managed my way though them.
1st problem: Cloned drives did not work.
2nd problem: Original boot drive messed up.

Luckily I had a disk back up sector by sector of the original boot drive. So, I restored the original boot disk backup onto my new SSD partition by partition. As in load the MBR, restore, then load 100MB space, restore and then finally whatever that was leftover, restore. When i checked my SSD in Acronis I found that there was an error on the whatever else that was leftover part of the SSD. So, I got my Win 7 installation disk and put it in drive and disconnected all other drives and restarted PC. The system detected the error and proposed to repair and restart by pressing the yes button. I did that and by miracle everything was back to normal. Almost thought I lost my boot capability. Whew.

Hi, just an update on my progress with Windows 8. I was able to install the OS on my desktop but I had to go through the trouble of updating all my drivers and softwares to the latest so that they will work on Windows 8. One major issue I ran into though is that the OS will not recognise my Razer Blackwidow Ultimate and my Cyborg RAT 7. So I have to log in using my tablet using remotely. That kind of sucks but I am trying to fix this issue of mine in the meantime.

So, I just spent the whole day now with a Microsoft tech person remotely connected to my PC and the tech person couldn't do nothing about me not being able to use my keyboard and mouse. Its as if the PC won't recognize the input devices at all. I had all the drivers up to date but the PC just aint picking the signal from my input devices. Sad face. Maybe I should call asus tech tomorrow to see if they have a solution. That is if they work on saturdays yoo. If not I am stuck with my Transformer prime as my main input for my PC throughout the weekend. That will suck.
