RIVE update to Windows 10...

I am planning to do a clean install of Windows 10 on my Rampage IV extreme. My question is: where is the best place to find and download all of the appropriate drivers?

I think there are a few drivers posted on the ASUS page for the RIVE, but a lot are not. I know where to get some obvious things like the NVidia GeForce drivers which I update regularly in any case.

Are any of the driver update programs worthwhile? I know there are some free ones and some paid ones. Just don't want to take chances with it installing inappropriate drivers. Also would like to have the latest/best drivers available, and not be missing any.

Thanks for any advice / suggestions.

Hi Oxonsi

From the Asus support page install

1) LAN driver
2) Chipset driver
3) MEI driver
4) Audio driver

Nvidia website

5) NVidia driver

http://www.asus.com/US/Motherboards/RAMPAGE_IV_EXTREME/HelpDesk_Download/

After updating windows 10 check in device manager for any yellow triangles.

Awesome, thanks for the advice and info! I'll post back if there are any drivers I cannot find.

I have Windows 10 up and running. Found all of the drivers I need.

Question: is there Intel Rapid Storage Technology software and driver for the RIVE on Windows 10? And for that matter, is there good reason to use IRST?

I have a discreet PCIe RAID controller for a small array, so I'm not using the on board RAID, and I don't think I need IRST. But I could use IRST to manage the drives I do have attached to the motherboard SATA.

Any info and/or advice? Thanks again 🙂
