RIVE boot time with 3404

Alright so after updating the latest bios my computer is hanging on the bios splash screen for around 20 seconds before moving on. And while this isn't a big problem it is kind of annoying because it wasn't doing it on the older bios. I was just wondering if anyone else is having this issue or knows a fix.

It's not actually hanging, it's just busy, and then a 5 sec delay wait.

Set these:
Boot menu:
Full screen logo: Disabled
Post Report: 2 sec (5 sec is default) You can use 1 if you like, but I discourage it in case you have instability difficulties.

This is why I always keep a printed record of my BIOS settings, there are too many to keep track of in my head and you miss things when you update BIOS.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

Also you may want to turn off certain things that you don't use for instance Bluetooth, the ASMedia SATA controller, the onboard sound etc.

At tne very last splash screen mine hangs completly and windows does not open if I overclock past 4.3GHZ. Using 3970x cpu. I also get a 00 error message and have to rest the bios.

Try to set the Clockgen Filter to 20uF.

Also the RIVE does memory "training" over subsequent POSTs. After a several dozen POSTs, it no longer needs to. A CMOS reset should also reset the memory "training", meaning some subsequent posts will take longer.
