RIVBE Bluetooth constantly restarting?

Jytra

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, but my RIVBE seems to have a strange problem with the onboard bluetooth constantly resetting itself at random intervals which plays the add/remove hardware sound, and pops up "configuring bluetooth devices" on screen. This only started happening recently, but its becoming very obnoxious when the BT resets itself after opening or closing Steam, or Chrome, but has no problem at all when a device is actually connected to it for longer duration (I use a Dualshock 4 controller for gaming).

Also, if I leave the wifi module enabled, my soundcard starts to crackle when I start playing an audio stream. Disable it, and everything sounds fine.

Is it possible my BT/Wifi module is damaged?

My board did the same exact thing but wouldn't even stay connected to a device. I just got the rma replacement today and the new one does the same thing. I connected the antenna and now it will connect as yours does for a long period of time but if not connected it constantly disconnects are reconnects randomly. It is just as you describe. Either I got unlucky and both boards have the exact same problem or it is a bios issue or something. I already had tried reinstalling the os, no difference. Running windows 8.1 update with newest Bluetooth driver

I replied in your other thread and have just found my answer. You do use the device.

My advice is to try different bios version and see if that resolves your issue. Other than that I do not think there is that much I can say to help, except sorry that you are having hassles.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
