RIV-BE and FAN Xpert 2

Can FAN Xpert2 control all fans or only 4 CHA_FAN and 2 CPU_FAN? My lian-li have 6 fans and using 2 CP_FAN. I using total 8 fans right now with RIVE and FAN Xpert 1.

RIV-BE have 8 fan header also and wonder if FAN Xpert 2 control all of them or only 2 CPU_FAN and only 4 CHA_FAN and not OPT_FAN?

Each of the fan channels has different control methods. The CPU_OPT is slaved to CPU_FAN, which is useful if you have two (or two sets) of fans on a water cooler. These always run, unlike the CHAssis channel which can be set to turn off below a certain temperature. I love this feature since I can turn off my GPU exhaust fans when they are not needed.

The OPT channel is a bit different, you cannot control these through FAN Xpert, however they have profiles in the BIOS and they are optionally slaved to the matching OPT_TEMP inputs. This is pretty cool, but, they cannot be turned off, and the fact that you can't access these through Fan Xpert is really annoying (though it will show the RPM readings).

There are also additional fan headers on the ROG panel but I have no experience using these.

Yes it is sad that it is not possible to access or control OPT_FAN through FX other than only show the RPM. Same with RIVE.
Maybe this will come with Fan Xpert 3 or 500 or something. But it will probably require another board, Rampage 80 Extreme?
