I am pretti much of a beginner but I have enjoyed building my system from scratch. With the latest upgrade, I have run into trouble.
My previous drives configuration ran just fine:
C: OCZ 1 TB Revo Hybrid (BOOT)
😧 OCZ 211GB Vertex SSD
E: Seagate Baracuda 2TB HDD running off SATA port
F: Seagate Baracuda 2TB HDD running off SATA port
G: Seagate Baracuda 2TB HDD running off SATA port
H: Seagate Baracuda 2TB HDDrunning off SATA portI:
I: Optical Drive 1 running off SATA port
J: Optical Drive 2 running off SATA port
MY NEW CONFIGURATION HAS PROBLEMS: (I cannot install all my Drives)
C: OCZ Vector 526GB SSD (BOOT) This is the new drive I just put in.
😧 OCZ Vertex 211GB SSD
E: Re-Formatted OCZ Revo Hybrid 1TB
F: Seagate Baracuda 2TB HDD
G: Seagate Baracuda 2TB HDD
H: Optical drive 1 running off SATA port
I: Optical drive 2 running off SATA port
I have the two SSDs running off the (2) SATA 6GB/S ports (Both fine)
The Revo Hybrid runs off the 16X pcie slot (works fine)
The 2 Optical drives running off the SATA ports (both fine).
2 of the 4 Seagate Drives are in and work fine.
SYSTEM WILL NOT ACCEPT MY LAST 2 SEAGATE SATA III DRIVES.
HAVE I HIT A THEORETICAL SATA LIMIT?
If so, why did I lose 2 drives when I only introduced 1 new drive (the OCZ Vector)?
Can anyone help?
