Customer Service Feedback

Dear Mr. Shoemaker,

enclosed the feedback from Asia:

Intel Z390/Z370 series MB: It is expected to have BIOS update to support Resizable BAR before the end of next week. Please let the customers pay attention to the website update.

!!!!!!!!!!

End of the week - still nothing. I guess they work on Saturdays and Sundays?

Next week.

For many many years now (back to the 90s) I always bought ASUS boards for my builds.

But what happened here really let me think that ASUS does not care anymore about consumer products and especially enthusiasts. Being an enthusiast does not mean that I need more RGB. It means that I want best quality and performance with support of the latest technology, if possible.

And being a premium brand means that you also have to deliver premium service and communication. Both is lacking in this case - which would be OK if I would have bought discount brand hardware. But I did not. Even worse: The cheaper brands decided to just go ahead and quickly support ReBar.

I would have accepted a delay for quality reasons. With proper communication of the issue.

Lets hope that the new BIOSes are available soon and we all can move on. But if ASUS fails to deliver I will for sure move on....

Guys, we can relax now. They are going to do it for the whole 300 family of chipsets. Expect it to happen late this month to late next month for all motherboards to be updated. Any more people asking the question of "Are they going to do it" needs to stop and work a little by reading these post and by reading the latest news.

First off, no hate at all towards the Forum Admin. Let's make sure to disconnect our anger at ASUS from the forum rep.

That being said, I appreciate the update, and I'll believe it when I see it.

If you have any capability to submit this feedback internally, please let the product marketing/community reps know that silence on this stuff breeds anger, Silent Scone. If you check my post history, I raged at ASUS with how inept their reply was and how long it took them to make a BIOS update for spectre and meltdown, especially considering I paid for a board that had 5 years of support that they were often very clear they were uninterested in supporting. I gave ASUS one more shot, and my reward was months of frustration and anger over a BIOS update, again.

Even if I get the BIOS - which is really only coming because ASUS's competitors displayed more loyalty to their customers than ASUS has - this is the second time in a row ASUS has dragged their feet on updating a BIOS and has consequentially placed ASUS at the bottom by default for all future purchases. There seems to be a massive disconnect between the penny counters of what is acceptable and reality. It is shameful that ASUS is so slow with BIOS updates comparative to their competitors, given their market cap.

I think another question is, why is there no official statement regarding to this BIOS update for Z370 and Z390?

Can we get a little bit more of an official response than that? SilentScone considering the amount of deafness on this issue we deserve better as Customers of Asus products. I can hardly see myself upgrading my current setup to another Asus Product after this botchery.

Thank you very much for the update. That's perfectly fine, I can wait happily knowing it's coming, that's all I needed to hear. Regards.

Just waiting for this to be true, I'm already searching for a Z390 Aorus MoBo.
