Good afternoon,

I would like to know if a BIOS update will be released for the z370 / z380 motherboards with RESIZE BAR option?

Thanks
greetings

It's still early on and I have seen resize bar support for b450s which is older and lower tier for AMD. The fact that a competitor is updating it on the same mobo chipsets is a bummer if we don't see that support here. Let's hope we get a bios support for this or I'll have to reconsider a different motherboard brand in the future.

Hi everyone, just thought I would share that MSI has recently decided to enable resize bar for their z390 motherboards:(https://www.msi.com/news/detail/010ad17a3b1868e7e219a11274738ea7) I would strongly recommend that anyone who hasn’t already signed the petition do so now. If you already signed it, please share it! This may help encourage all other motherboard manufacturers to follow suite. Link to the petition: http://chng.it/LKLksG4yQvÂ*

It would be a good gesture of Asus to support resize bar on Z390.

One thing I noticed though... I have a Z390 Maximus XI Apex and my brother has a Z490 Maximus XII Hero. I have 2 BIOS ROMS on my board, and as far as I can tell he only has 1... But... His BIOS ROM size is 32MB vs the 16MB on my Apex.

I'm worried that the older XI boards smaller ROM size is going to be an issue. I already noticed that the descriptions in the Z490 BIOS are much more detailed vs. the Z390, which hints at space being a limitation.

On the z390 motherboards, msi and gigabyte have already added support for Improve ReSizable BAR, if asus on this chipset does not add this feature, then my next motherboard will definitely not be from asus.

just a reminder that there's a petition to sign. just did. maybe we can get a few more people to, and make our voice count!

Ok weird. I try again to copy the Link from page 2: http://chng.it/LKLksG4yQv

We shouldn't have to sign any petition, Asus being the so called big brand they are should have already released it, Instead vote with your wallet if they don't support it, Maybe in the future people will realise what this brand is all about.

It was a short link to https://www.change.org/p/intel-enable-resize-bar-smart-access-memory-for-intel-300-series-motherboar... but Asus is now the only mainboard manufacturer that hasn't either made some releases or at least given more information on plans to, so that general petition would be fairly redundant even if it had seen wider circulation.

At this point I would think the activity on the Asus forums and Reddit over this would be more indicative of the issue.

yeah you right but you know, draw attention to this matter is by far the best we can do right now - this and be patient and wait of course. And if it doesn't come. Well next time I vote by my pocket (as someone wrote here) for sure!

I agree. I posted in the AsusROG subreddit just earlier today... A few people had no clue this was even being worked on.

I also saw some review one place did and the gains were anywhere from 2-3% up to 20%... It was a mix of 22 games with a mix of non-rebar and rebate optimized ones. This is a good sign overall that it works and can gain the fps needed. I'm a VR user so even 5fps makes a big difference.
