Recovering from a failed overclock?

Just wondering what the recommended method is for recovering from a failed overclock?
Is it still the clear CMOS method via a jumper.
Im asking as I was trying to reach 4.8ghz and after restarting, I get everything starting up but no output to the screen, the machine runs for a while and then shuts down again..
I thought the reset button on the board would clear everything but looks like I was wrong...

There's a clear cmos button at the rear end of the board, don't need to use jumpers.

Yep...use the button at the rear.
