Ranger VII Lane Sharing

Hi guys, I have a Asus Maximus VII Ranger and I'm wanting to pop in a dedicated sound card.

At the moment I'm using the 1st red PCIe x16 slot for my GPU and the last black smaller PCIe x1 slot for my wireless card.

My question is will adding a sound card into the very top PCIe x1 slot cause any dramas in regards to lane sharing (not sure what to call it) or drop the GPU slot down to 8x?

Been reading over the manual but can't seem to wrap my head around it. Basically need to know if there will be any adverse effects of populating 2 PCIe x1 slots and a single PCIe x16 slot at the same time.

If cards occupy both 16x slots they drop down to 8x and you'll never know it.
