I'm looking to increase the amount of RAM I have on the mobo (a rampage v extreme). I picked this computer up from a friend who was running 3 8 GB sticks of RAM. Can I run 8 16 GB sticks of RAM, or can I only run 8 8 GB sticks of RAM?
Second question: Should I upgrade the CPU if I plan on adding a 3070ti? Currently, the mobo has just an i7 5960x. Also, would any other CPU make a major performance boost, or is it not worth the money?
Third question, with the current 980 ti the bios doesn't display over display port, but it will over HDMI just fine, I've already updated the bios and nothing, I've tried all 3 of the different display port slots and each one only work while in windows.
Final question: Every time I turn on the computer, I get an error about the CPU speed. The previous owner told me to ignore the CPU fan speed because the build has an AIO water cooler.
