i'm still stuck on the original BIOS 2105

tested
Version 3010
Version 3101
Version 3204
Version 3301

i had to force copy BIOS 2 back to BIOS 1 so i can boot on 2105

after upgrading to any of the 3000 series, it wouldn't let me flash back to the old 2105

it's a visual bug

the BIOS doesn't show the proper information, even when it's actually detected, the BIOS shows otherwise

it fixes itself after 3 full cycle reboot, this bug is annoying as hell, it wasted me a few hours trying to figure things out

yes, the BIOS seems to mix the info from both Intel + Asmedia ports together, so it shows the incorrect status

it didn't matter if the SSD were plugged to the Intel ports or Asmedia, as it was showing the same status, or rather it didn't see it connected

the actual drivers are currently sitting on the Asmedia ports

after 3 full cycle reboots, the BIOS finally were able to distinguish drives connected between the 2 separate interfaces,

it should not show the drives detected in the asmedia ports, it should have only shown the intel ones

now i got all my 8 devices up and running the way it's supposed to

Weird to say the least. Thanks for the heads up about the glitch. Could I ask if you do a clear CMOS after you have completed your flash of bios?

I'll keep that in mind for the next BIOS release, clearing CMOS is a good idea, as it will also delete everything that was there.

I normally do "Load Optimum Default" after each BIOS upgrade, to make sure the new "features" or settings are loaded.

Yeah I found that once I had updated the bios a clear CMOS did flush any residual or left overs from my system. At the end of the day it does no harm so win win really. 🙂
