Hi All.
Sorry if this has been asked before but I've done tons of searching and come up blank, and now I'm getting desperate.
I've just built my new system on the above Mobo which I love and marks my return to Asus products.
The problem I'm having is with the sound.
I just can't get the Creative software to work properly, I can't select how many speakers I'm using or the THX studio setting don't work.
The last time I uninstalled and re-installed everything the Realtek audio manager seemed to take over everything apart from the basic control's like volume.
Should the realtek program be running at same time as this was the only way I could set my 5.1 speakers.
Am I just missinf something here
I've had a few soundblaster cards over the years and one of the reasons I got this board was because of the advertised built in soundcard that was meant to better and I thougth It would be nice to to have a clutter free system.
I have to add this board is amazing and I've only just started with it.
Can anybody help please or point me somewhere to a guide that might help please.
Thanks
Jon

If anyone has this board and has all the creative option working can you let me know please. Do you have the Realtek software and creative software running at the same time?

What makes you believe that the creative software can manipulate the built-in Realtek audio? Have you successfully done this on another set up?

Because that's what they advertise and that's the software they give you.
Got it all working finally but the sound has major issues, it seems like the sound is clipping none stop.
I know it would never be as good as a dedicated sound card but I didn't expect these problems, disappointed to say the least.

There have been one or two folks who have had similar problems to you but I am unable to duplicate this with my system. So not able to be much help besides ask you where did you download the drivers from? I found that if I use the ASUS downloads from the motherboard support page I tend not to have issues. But if I download directly from different vendors (the guys who licence out the software) that I had sound issues.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
